Project Soar After School Program: Project Soar is a variety of programs that are available at New Life Community Center.  The goal of Project Soar is to encourage students to improve their grade and school attendance during and after their participation in our program as well as aid in the development of youth who are having difficulty obeying the law, respecting parents and authority figures.  As we prepare students with the skills to excel in school and prepare for a happy and successful career after high school we also increase partnership with local schools, churches, parents, mentors, businesses, and professional & civic organizations.  New Life Community Center Project Soar Programs includes the Before and After School Program, Summer Camp Program, Keep In Touch (K.I.T.) Mentoring Program and 1st Time Juvenile Offenders Program.

Before and After Care Program: The Before and After Care Program operates Monday through Friday: Before care 6:00 – 9:00 a.m.; After Care 1:30 – 6:30 p.m.

Summer Camp Program: The Summer Camp Program provides a Bible-base curriculum, meals, academic classes, Junior Achievement Program as well as historical and educational field trips for students ages 5-17.  This program is offered May - August. Summer Camp hour are 9am until 4pm; however, you have the option of adding Before Care (6:30am - 9:00am) and After Care (4:00pm - 6:30pm) for an additonal $10 fee each.

1st Time Juvenile Offenders Program: The 1st Time Juvenile Offenders Program is a 10-week self-development program for students on probation in collaboration with Dekalb County of Juvenile Courts.  This Program meets every Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm for 10 weeks.  Following the 10-week session the students graduate and are given a mentor who maintains contact with the student for the next year. Note: This program is funded through Dekalb county therefore there is no fees accessed.

Keep In Touch (K.I.T.) Mentoring Program: Keep in Touch Mentoring Program is a component of NLCC 1st Time Juvenile Offenders Program.  The graduates of the 1st Time Juvenile Offenders Program select a mentor to maintain contact via phone and one-one visit for one full year.  This program meets one to three Saturdays a month at various times.   During the one-one visit the participants began to obtain a bond with their mentor to increase self worth, encourage academic achievement, promote spiritual growth and assist in their overall personal develop.
