Social Services & Outreach

New Life Community Center also provides social services programs to people who are indigent or homeless in our community. Help is provided in five areas:

aHis Love Extended - Homeless Program. No Fee. Based upon qualifications:

This program provides comprehensive services to Metro Atlanta's homeless men, women and children. Interested participants receive scholarships for training in one of the following programs:
These services include:

  • Transportation to New Life Community Center and back to the homeless shelter.
  • Cooked meals during their visit to New Life.
  • Hair cuts and showers for those who request them.
  • Individual and group addiction counseling sessions.
  • Motivational messages and life skills classes.

Interested participants may also receive scholarships for training in one of the following programs:

  • Construction Trade classes
  • GED classes
  • Basic Typing/Computer Basics

Overcomers Substance Abuse Counseling: This program provides group and individual counseling for drug and alcohol abusers who want to turn their lives around. Counseling is provided on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings.

Prison Rehabilitation Program: This program targets men, women and juveniles incarcerated in the prison system and detention centers and provides life skills classes. The program also provides referrals to halfway houses for those who are released.

NOTE: Participants must be approved by DeKalb County Sheriff's Department and DeKalb County Department of Parole and Probation.

Clothing Closet: Clothing items provided include: new and used items for children and adults, new underwear and toiletry items, and professional suits for job seekers. Open to men women and children who are bused from Metro Atlanta homeless shelters to the community center and local families in need.

Food Pantry: Provides free food items to feed local families in need and homeless men, women and children.
Day(s): Sunday Time:10:00 am – 2 pm Location: Building #1

Evangelism: The message of salvation is shared in a personal manner to those in the community who desire to know Christ.
