Motel 2 Home Program

Our Motel 2 Home Program is a case management program that will assist you in positioning yourself to move from an extended stay motel in South DeKalb Georgia to a home. Through our Motel2Home Program, we will work closely with eligible South DeKalb motel residents to provide housing stability case management with access to wraparound services, housing search assistance, and rental and utility financial assistance to ensure a smooth transition to stable housing.

Eligibility Criteria for Financial Assistance

Please answer the following questions to help you determine if you are eligible to be considered for financial assistance for the Motel 2 Home Program.

  • QUESTION 1

    Do you reside in an extended stay motel in South Dekalb?

  • QUESTION 2

    Do you have enough verifiable income coming into your household to meet rent and other household expenses? (Please note that income must be verified in writing through pay stubs, letters of employment, benefits letters, etc. in order for New Life Community Ministries to provide financial assistance.)

  • QUESTION 3

    Have you resided in a motel for two weeks or longer and can you provide proof of your extended residence in the motel?

  • QUESTION 4

    Are you willing to participate in the housing search process?

  • QUESTION 5

    Are you a family with school aged children (that includes single moms or dads with children)?

How to Determine Your Results…

If you answered NO to any questions…

Unfortunately you do not qualify for assistance from our Motel 2 Home Program.

If you answered YES to all of the questions…

Then you may qualify for help, if funds are currently available. Please call 404-381-6731 ext. 101 Only on Monday 9:30am to 5:00pm and provide your name, contact number and the type of service you are requesting which is Motel 2 Home.

You will be contacted with 48hrs  to schedule an appointment to complete an assessment and to finalize your eligibility for financial assistance.

All calls for the Motel 2 Home Program received during business hours will be directed to our client call line.
